Warm | Moody | Bass | Disco

DJ, producer, and composer Distant Grand weaves a moody tapestry of sub-bass, ethereal soul, and just the right touch of deep disco. His sets guide the dancefloor through a shared emotive journey, visiting the full spectrum,  joy, yearning, grief, euphoria, and surrender. Each set invites dancers into an ecstatic release, a space to lose and find themselves again.

After nearly two decades composing electronic music and performing across British Columbia’s festival circuit, Distant Grand now channels that experience into his DJ sets and neoclassical piano compositions. 

Once rooted in the wild landscapes of Canada’s West Coast, his sound reflects the rhythm of the place he comes from, moody, grounded, and full of movement. It’s music shaped by weather, wilderness, and years of dancefloors under open skies.
