Hangab Ground Training
Hangab is a guided inversion therapy that combines gentle bodywork with the gradual lifting of the body in stages. This approach allows clients to fully relax and let go, while the decompression works not only through the spine but throughout the entire body–mind system. It is a simple yet highly effective technique to restore balance and release physical as well as emotional tension.

Passive inversion is rooted in ancient healing traditions and, when practiced correctly, causes a reset for the body–mind system. We have discovered that the key to preventing uncomfortable pressure in the head is to move upward very slowly and in gradual stages so the system can adapt.
Over the past 25 years, we have developed safe equipment and a unique bodywork method that guides clients securely through this “flying savasana” letting-go process. Since Hangab inversion is very gentle on both the client and the practitioner, even smaller practitioners can lift a heavier client with ease.
One of the key benefits of the Hangab Method is its emphasis on slow, mindful transitions. As we move through each stage, the body has the time and space to release tension, which promotes a deeper state of relaxation. The extended period of traction helps to elongate the spine, decompress the vertebrae, relieve pressure in joints and muscles, and increase circulation. The body is given the opportunity to regenerate and restore balance.
Beyond the physical benefits, this practice also supports emotional and mental release. Being upside down encourages a shift in perspective, both literally and figuratively. As we surrender to the process, we invite a sense of inner stillness and clarity. The Hangab Method not only enhances physical health but also promotes a deeper connection to oneself, fostering peace and harmony.
During the Hangab Ground Training, we learn to guide and treat clients up to shoulder stand and to lift ourselves as well (Hangab Yoga). It is the first module of the full Practitioner Training. During Basic 2, 3, and Pro Training, we learn to lift off after the ground stages into Hangab Flying.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Hubert Mu is a seasoned bodyworker, mindfulness practitioner and musician with over 20 years of experience. At a young age, injuries from extreme sports sparked Hubert´s interest in complementary medicine. This curiosity led him to travel the world, living among shamans and immersing himself in ancient cultures.
Hubert founded a yoga studio and started exploring various bodywork and mindfulness practices. He specialized in Hangab-inversion bodywork, a powerful therapy that combines passive inversion with hands-on spinal traction, guiding clients into deep inner stillness and releasing blockages.
Today, Hubert also shares practices for inner freedom by facilitating singing circles and sharing his passion for Ho'oponopono, a Hawaiian practice focused on forgiveness and healing.
