DREAM THEATER LIVE IN MALAYSIA — FEBRUARY 4, 2026
We are thrilled to announce that progressive metal pioneers Dream Theater will be performing live in Malaysia on February 4, 2026.
Dream Theater share a unique bond with one of the most passionate fan bases around the world — a connection solidified by three GRAMMY® Award nominations, a 2022 GRAMMY® win for Best Metal Performance (“The Alien”), and over 15 million records sold worldwide.
Their 1992 opus Images & Words achieved Gold certification and was listed among Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.” Guitar World ranked its successor Awake as the #1 album in “Superunknown: 50 Iconic Albums That Defined 1994.” The 1996 release A Change of Seasons famously soundtracked NBC’s coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Fans voted the 1999 masterpiece Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory as the #1 All-Time Progressive Rock Albumin a Rolling Stone readers’ poll (2012), and Classic Rock named it the 15th Greatest Concept Album ever.
Black Clouds & Silver Linings (2009) debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200, followed by A Dramatic Turn of Events (2011) and Dream Theater (2013), marking three consecutive Top 10 albums. Consequence of Sound hailed 2016’s The Astonishing as “an absolutely unique experience.”
Beyond three platinum and two gold videos, Dream Theater were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2010. Their 2019 release Distance Over Time earned both critical and commercial acclaim, further solidifying their legacy.
On their 15th studio album, A View From The Top Of The World (InsideOutMusic / Sony Music), the band continued to push musical boundaries as they’ve done for over 30 years. The band also launched the DREAMSONIC Tour in 2023 — a progressive music spectacle set to return in the coming years.
In 2024, founding drummer Mike Portnoy reunited with guitarist John Petrucci, vocalist James LaBrie, bassist John Myung, and keyboardist Jordan Rudess — to overwhelming global fanfare. The band is currently in the studio working on their highly anticipated 16th studio album, the first from this iconic lineup in over 15 years.
