BRING YOUR OWN MACHINE is 97KoboLab's open-format night: bring whatever you built, patched, or half-fixed, and play it in a room full of people who want to know how it works. Every set is followed by a short deconstructed session where the artist opens up the technique, the system, and the thinking behind it.

BYOM:DRIFT takes its name from what machines do when you leave them running, oscillators wander, tape slips, signal walks away from where you set it. Four sets, four very different rigs, one loading area.

Kurt Buttigieg works with repurposed media, intimate field recordings, electronics and amplified objects. His practice is anchored in place and time and in the density of environments, where people, objects and stories pile up. Electromagnetic listening sits at the centre of it: hidden signal fields pulled into the audible and turned into fragile melodies.
