SouthSide Summer: Chess Mafia x Taiwan Mahjong Club

This summer, two of Hong Kong's most electric underground social movements are joining forces for one afternoon-into-night. Chess Mafia's fast-paced variant chess and nightlife energy collides with Taiwan Mahjong Club's tile-clacking social tradition for SouthSide Summer: an event where strategy, community, and good company take centre stage from 4:30 pm to 11 pm.

Sit down for a hand of Taiwanese mahjong with newcomers and seasoned players alike, then wander over to a live chessboard for a fast, beginner-friendly match — all set against Chess Mafia's signature electronic/vinyl soundtrack and Taiwan Mahjong Club's warm, learn-as-you-go atmosphere.
